Headteacher Appointment

The governors of St Andrew the Apostle Greek Orthodox School and The Russell Education Trust are delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Indira Warwick, BSc NPQH, as the school’s new Headteacher.

Mrs Warwick lives in Barnet and has significant senior management experience in other good and outstanding schools in London. She is currently the deputy headteacher at Alperton Community School in Brent; but is particularly excited at the prospect of living out her Christian faith through the leadership of a Greek Orthodox school. She has a clear vision for St Andrew the Apostle School, one which is shared by our staff, governing body and the Trust.

Mrs Warwick NPQH, a scientist and teacher, is also a gifted linguist and although English, Russian is her first language. She also has a working knowledge of two other European languages and is looking forward to joining some of the school’s GCSE Greek lessons!

Mrs Warwick has a proven track record of success in leading both curriculum and pastoral areas of school life; as well as working with the most able sixth formers to secure entry to Oxford and Cambridge and the other prestigious Russell Group Universities. She has a long-standing commitment to the education of young people in the local area, serving as a Chair of Governors and parent governor in two local schools.

Mrs Warwick will take up post on 1st January 2021
